PG&O’s thin film filters are incorporated into PRP’s avionics displays to change the viewing angle. In addition, the thin film filters remove unnecessary stray light that causes distraction to cockpit crew and pilots. The angle requirements and operational wavelengths of the optical coatings are modified for sensitivity to nighttime lighting. The technology solves the issues associated with commercial and military cockpit lighting/display applications.
