Developer of precision optical solutions, REO has released a new line of optics that provides multi-wavelength operation for military rangefinding and target designation applications.
The optical solutions deliver high transmission or reflectivity at numerous wavelength bands and maintain wavefront quality in the reflected beam.
Optical Solution
The solutions can house high transmission or high reflection properties in the spectral band ranging from 3 to 5 µm. They also offer a laser damage threshold of more than 40 J/cm² and display high environmental stability. REO makes use of coating and fabrication technologies such as ion beam sputtering and advanced plasma source to allow the required level of control over the stress, stoichiometry, and coating structure.
The optical solutions can be fabricated on various substrates such as sapphire, Si, ZnSe, ZnS, CaF2, and fused silica. The fabrication can be done in sizes ranging between 0.5” and 12”. The optical solution facilitate in manufacturing aspheric, spherical, and plano surfaces.
