Hanwha SolarOne to Deliver 54 MW of Photovoltaic Cells to SunEdison

Manufacturer of PV cells and modules, Hanwha SolarOne has entered into a supply agreement with a subsidiary of MEMC Electronic Materials for 54 MW photovoltaic modules.

Under the terms of the agreement, Hanwha SolarOne will supply the PV modules to SunEdison, a solar company, for the solar power plant projects.

Furthermore, the agreement requires an option for extra 30 MW of PV modules in 2011. In addition to PV modules, Hanwha SolarOne manufactures silicon wafers and ingots.

Hanwha SolarOne’s President, Dr. Peter Xie stated that the company is pleased to be the PV module supplier for SunEdison projects. He added that the agreement expands the association with SunEdison and delighted to work with SunEdison.
