Oriel Launches Scientific Cameras with InstaSpec Pro Software

Oriel has launched two new scientific cameras called the InstaSpec ISX IR and the InstaSpec ISX CCD for spectroscopy applications. Both cameras are equipped with Oriel’s InstaSpec Pro software that offers full control of operations of Oriel spectrographs and dual or single camera configurations.

Oriel cameras and enhanced software

The InstaSpec ISX IR includes 1x256 pixels of indium gallium arsenide linear array and a 50 µ pitch that functions between the spectral range of 800-1700 nm. The line scan detector is suitable for infrared scanning applications including Raman spectroscopy and spectroscopy.

The InstaSpec ISX is suitable for multi-stripe absorbance, reflectance, emission, laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS), Raman spectroscopy and spectroscopy applications. In addition, the camera operates in the spectral range of 200-1100 nm and has a back-illuminated CCD sensor that features a pixel array of 1024x122.

The scientific cameras have high dynamic range, high resolution and are thermoelectrically cooled. They offer a number of features such as standard USB 2.0 interfaces, built-in digital signal processing (DSP) and dual gain control settings.
