LG Display has chosen Nordson ASYMTEK, a manufacturer of dispensing and coating solutions, to provide dispensing devices for its LED BLU manufacturing operations in Guangzhou and Nanjing, China.
Nordson ASYMTEK’s dispensing device installations at Nanjing and Guangzhou are part of an existing partnership between both the firms. Nordson ASYMTEK will also offer on-site service and process development support.
The LED dispensing products offered to LG have Nordson ASYMTEK's DispenseJet technology. The jet dispensers improved the speed, precision and yield in manufacturing the LED BLU technology of LG.
Greg Wood, VP of Nordson ASYMTEK’s Advanced Technology Systems, stated that LG has obtained a significant advantage in quality and throughput by including the company’s jet dispensing systems. The devices and service of Nordson ASYMTEK foster the growth strategy of LG. Wood commented that the investment of LG in Nordson ASYMTEK will profit the company in the upcoming years.
