Lighting Science announced that its LED lighting fixtures have been installed in the famous House of Blues Recording Studio in Tennessee. All the traditional lights in the studio have been replaced with the company’s DEFINITY LED bulbs. The new LED lamps are 80% cooler and save 80% more energy.
The eco-friendly LED bulbs are mercury-free and can be recycled completely. On an average operating time of 16 h daily, the LED will last about nine years. The DEFINITY bulbs have been tested under LM-79 process and approved by the DoE’s CALiPER program.
The House of Blues’ Studio Manager Mike Paragone said that they constantly seek energy-saving solutions and Lighting Science product was perfect. It helped them to save about 80% of energy costs and to significantly reduce the heat load of the studio. He added that they are impressed with the product’s quality, output and the 99% internal rate of return.
The CEO of Lighting Science Group Zach Gibler commented that the DEFINITY LED bulbs offer easy solutions for businesses to turn green without compromising on lighting quality.
