Innovative OCT System from LightLab Featured on Popular TV Show

LightLab Imaging announced that the demonstration of its new Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) system by a leading interventional cardiologist was featured on the TV show Good Morning America.

C7-XR FD-OCT Imaging System

The Director of the Case Western Reserve University’s Interventional Cardiovascular Center, which is located at the University Hospitals, Dr. Marco Costa performed a procedure with the company’s C7-XR FD-OCT intravascular imaging system.

The cardiologist used the new imaging system together with the C7 Dragonfly Imaging Catheter. This is the first case in which the new system and its companion are used following their FDA approval in the beginning of May. The cardiologist used the images from the C7-XR FD-OCT to examine the features of arterial disease in a patient. The images gave him crucial information which helped him take decisions on the size and placement of stent. The procedure is successfully finished and the patient is recovering well.
