New 230W Solar Module Launched by Advanced Media

Advanced Media, a unit of Ritek, announced the release of its new PM230 polycrystalline solar module. The 230W solar module features black frame and is suitable for rooftop applications in residential buildings. The first shipment of the new solar modules is likely to reach City of Industry warehouse on June 1, 2010.

PM230 Polycrystalline Solar Module

The frame of the PM230 photovoltaic solar module is colored in black using the anodized aluminum dying method. This makes the solar panel more corrosion resistant and durable on exposure to different natural elements.

The PM230 solar panel incorporates a white back sheet that avoids it from becoming hot and loosing the efficiency level soon. The efficiency of the solar module is 13.86% and it delivers an output of ± 3%. The multicrystalline solar panel measures 65.3 in in length, 1.65 in in depth and 39.4 in in width. The total weight of the solar panel is 46.3 pounds. The solar module is eligible for the California rebates, as it had received 204.6 W PTC rating.

Nowadays, homeowners demand high wattage solar modules featuring black frames from their rooftop installers. The black frames make the solar panels merge with the rooftops and give a subtle appearance.
