A newly formed limited liability corporation, Hughey & Phillips, LLC, announced it has acquired an exclusive, perpetual license and all assets for the locally manufactured obstruction lighting products from Honeywell Aerospace. The asset purchase and licensing agreement allows Hughey & Phillips, LLC to continue the product line's reputation as a worldwide industry leader in the manufacture, sales and service of obstruction lighting. Terms of the agreement were not released.
"This is an exciting development in the obstruction lighting industry," said Jeff Jacobs, vice president sales, Hughey & Phillips, LLC. "Hughey & Phillips products will continue to set the standard in the obstruction lighting field. Our faithful client base will have the familiar Hughey & Phillips name, reputation and products at their disposal."
The obstruction lighting product line will reintroduce the Hughey & Phillips name in recognition of its 70-year heritage. Meanwhile, the team of entrepreneurs who licensed the obstruction lighting line brings more than 20 years experience in the aviation lighting and manufacturing industry.

Jacobs said clients who use the products will see business continue as usual in the transition and that there will be no interruption in production, sales and service.
