World's First Dot Sight for Heavy Machine Guns

Dong In Optical, a manufacturer of Dot Sights for various military arms in South Korea, introduced their new Dot Sight for heavy machine guns named Model DCL120. This latest invention from Dong In Optical is the world's first Dot Sight for heavy machine guns and will be distributed to various armed force markets in Europe and Northern America.

DCL120 is primarily designed and built for .50 (12.7mm) Caliber Heavy Machine Guns(HMG). It improves the HMG operator’s shooting ability drastically with outstanding vision and aim for both close and long range, non-moving targets, moving targets such as armored vehicles, and anti-air targets such as helicopters and aircrafts.

This unique Dot Sight from Dong In Optical uses extra wide lens, which provides a wide field of sight and head-up display for the operator to aim and track the targets with both eyes open. DCL120 also provides easy and stable aim when equipped in a moving application such as helicopters, boats, and vehicles. With this unique lens, the operator of HMG can now have a superb aiming and sight for moving and non-moving targets with both eyes open.

Also, DCL120 has adjustable bullet drop compensation by the ranges of 200, 400, 600, 800 and 1200 meters. This adjustable bullet drop compensation is an exclusive technology developed by Dong In Optical and only DCL120 has this feature in the current Dot Sight market.

Jung In, CEO of Dong In Optical, said, “Model DCL120 has already finished testing in the U.S., France, Indonesia, and Pakistan. DCL120 has proved its superb reliability and proved various applications that can be used. With Model DCL120, armed forces can now shorten the trainings, improve the operators shooting ability significantly as well as saving the costs for ammunition.”

Along with the announcement, Dong In Optical will be exhibiting DCL120 during ‘2008 AUSA Annual Meeting & Exposition’ in Washington, D.C. from October 6th to 8th, 2008.
