Future Lighting Solutions announced today that it will be presenting a seminar titled "Selecting the Right LED for Your Application" at the upcoming LEDS 2008 conference in California. The session will take place at 1:55 pm on Tuesday, September 30, at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel.
Presenter Costa Politakis, Worldwide Market Segment Manager, General Lighting, will discuss the steps to follow to ensure optimal LED selection for a given lighting application. Topics will include strategies for calculating light output in real life operating conditions, the risks of basing those calculations on information drawn from a vendor’s data sheet, tools that can assist in each stage of the design process, and strategies for ensuring that the LED you choose will be available in sufficient volumes at the manufacturing stage.
