Pixim, a supplier of imaging chips for enterprise security cameras, has declared the launch of Seawolf-based UltraView XP4 camera series by Interlogix.

Seawolf is Pixim's common image capture chip. Being offered in both NTSC and PAL versions, the new XP4 cameras offer excellent low light performance and unrivaled wide dynamic range in one package. Various mounting options are available such as flush mount, wall mount, pendant mount, and ceiling mount.

Based on Seawolf technology designed for Interlogix, the UltraView XP4 cameras are capable of directing a vibrant resolution of 690 HTVL in color in addition to providing unique wide dynamic range. Furthermore, the new cameras ensure True Day Night functionality through its removable IR switch mechanism that generates usable images at a full 30 fps, utilizing only 0.01 lux of illumination. By enabling slow shutter modes of up to 32x, lower light performance can be achieved.

Pixim’s VP of marketing and business development, John Monti stated that advanced components like Seawolf will foster UltraView XP4 camera series to be upgraded to a superior quality product range. The efficiency and superior performance of the UltraView XP4 series were demonstrated following its achievement of New Product Showcase award for Best in Surveillance Cameras SD during ISC West 2012. These versatile cameras are effective for deployment in shipping ports, banks, major retailers and more.
