As predicted by the ElectroniCast Consultants, the utilization of packaged HB-LEDs in 2010 globally was $10.77 B, and is expected to reach $69.7 B in 2012.

The geographic regions where market data are segmented include APAC (Asia Pacific), America (North America, Central and South America), EMEA (Europe, Middle Eastern countries, plus Africa).

The classification of the global HB-LED market application categories include Stationary Signals (not used in or on vehicles), Consumer-Level TV/Desktop Monitor Backlighting, Mobile/Portable Devices, Automotive/Vehicle (automotive, ships, rail/train, planes, etc), Signage/Professional Displays, Solid-State Lighting – General Lighting, Other/Miscellaneous (specialty, medical/science, test/measurement, etc) .
