Energy + Automation to Build LED Production and Assembling Facility in Texas

Energy & Automation has declared its plans to build a LED production and assembling facility spanning 30,000 sq. ft in the Luling Business/Industrial Park in Luling, Texas. The new location will be named as LED Manufacturing Inc. and will offer energy-saving and durable LED lights for a number of applications including industrial, residential and commercial markets.

Energy & Automation is expected to start the construction of the LED production facility in the beginning of 2011 and will be completing it within six months. The firm will lease a site measuring 12,000 sq.ft in Luling at the time of construction. The company will recruit 50 people during the initial phase of the LED production facility construction and the number is expected to double in one year.

The Luling Economic Development Corporation, the City of Luling and the Texas Department of Agriculture are other partners of the project. The project will be financed by Texas Capital Fund Real Estate.

LED is an advanced semiconductor illumination source that is better than conventional lighting in terms of safety and energy efficiency and does not dissipate heat. It is produced by non-hazardous materials and can be recycled. It has longer lifespan than traditional lighting.
