FiberNet Deploys Transcontinental Network Connecting Metropolitan Cities

FiberNet Telecom Group, Inc., a leading provider of complex interconnection services, today announced that it has deployed a transcontinental network connecting its metropolitan networks in New York/New Jersey and Los Angeles. FiberNet customers can now purchase on-net transport services between these key gateway markets.

"The growth of our Network Solutions business warranted this significant network expansion. We will now be able to optimize our network traffic more efficiently, and we will continue to deliver the exemplary customer service and leading installation intervals that are our hallmarks," said Jon A. DeLuca, President and CEO. "This network deployment, together with our recently announced colocation expansion projects, positions us for growth, as we head into 2008."

Utilizing multiple 10.0 Gbps wavelengths in a diverse network architecture, FiberNet is capable of delivering traffic in multiple transmission protocols, including SONET, SDH and Ethernet, with increased speed, capacity and flexibility.
