Suppliers of tube or shielded CMOS cameras, for use in the nuclear industry, require lenses and optical systems that can withstand exposure to high levels of radiation and sometimes endure extreme temperatures. Resolve Optics has built a strong international reputation for design and manufacture of smaller production quantities of radiation resistant lenses and optical products on time to strict quality and target price guidelines.

All optical elements used in Resolve Optics radiation resistant lens designs are made using cerium oxide doped glass or synthetic silica enabling them to withstand radiation doses of up to 100,000,000 rad and temperatures up to 55 °C without discoloration or degradation of performance. These radiation resistant lenses provide high image resolution and minimum geometric distortion from 400 to 750 nm.

Today Resolve Optics non-browning lens expertise is helping nuclear systems integrators operating in a growing number of different and interesting applications subject to radiation including suppling the lenses for use in a high-radiation-resistant pan-tilt-zoom tube camera deployed in Chernobyl, Ukraine.
