Basler’s New Aviator Cameras Feature Kodak’s KAI-4050 CCD Sensor

The new models are planned to enter series production in May. The new mono and color models feature a resolution of 2330 x 1750 pixels with 32 frames per second speed and a Camera Link interface.

Basler aviator cameras

The new aviator models are equipped with Kodak’s latest state-of-the-art KAI-4050 CCD sensor that provides superior image quality, even at high image capture rates. Basler aviator cameras provide progressive scan readout and global shutter technology.

Easy, Cost-Effective Replacement of Older Cameras

With a starting list price of 1,790€, the aviator camera series offers an exceptional price/performance ratio. This makes aviator cameras very attractive for redesigning machines that use cameras based on earlier Kodak sensors and increasing machine throughput based on the aviator's higher frame rate. Existing applications in areas such as semiconductor manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, metrology, medical imaging, or traffic applications can be optimized with a comparatively low investment.
