Firstsight Vision Reported Growth in Revenue in 2008

FIRSTSIGHT VISION, part of the STEMMER IMAGING Group, has reported a 13.4% growth in revenue in the financial year to 30 June 2008. Director Mark Williamson commented: "This is an outstanding set of results, particularly considering the current economic downturn in the UK. It reflects both the quality of the optics, illumination, cable and software products that we sell and the added value that we bring to our OEM customers through our partnership schemes. Of course the entire team at the company is also to be congratulated on their superb efforts throughout the year."

Excellent results were recorded throughout the STEMMER IMAGING Group which includes STEMMER IMAGING in Germany and Switzerland and IMASYS in France. In fact, the growth of the German parent company far exceeded the VDMA’s forecast for the overall growth in the German image-processing market. Total revenue for the Group is now approaching €43 million, making it Europe’s largest supplier of image-processing components and services, with an overall growth of 8.8%.

Williamson continued: “Sharing technical knowledge within the STEMMER IMAGING Group enables us to deliver more help and support than single country or product suppliers. We continue to adapt to changing market conditions and, while maintaining our independent technology status, our Europe-wide purchasing and warehousing policy will ensure that we offer the highest quality products and provide the best service and support to new and existing customers.”
