Chromasens, a member brand of TKH Vision, is now offering a Combined Tube Light LED linescan illumination system integrating three lighting setups into a single module. The Combined Tube Light reduces costs, maintenance, and setup complexity by merging tube, dark field, and bright field illumination into a single housing. It also removes the need for additional lighting units and linescan cameras, as well as the floor space for three separate inspection stations.

By deploying the Chromasens Combined Tube Light, images of the same object are acquired in three diverse illumination scenarios in a single pass. Each of these lighting setups captures different types of defects, from scratches and dents to size deviations and missing components, contributing to quality control and process improvement. These three lighting setups are:
- The tube light segment provides uniform, diffuse lighting for general imaging at maximum brightness of 1,000,000 LUX.
- The dark field segment enhances edge and surface defect detection by illuminating up to 800,000 LUX at low angles.
- The bright field segment achieves high-contrast, direct lighting for clear feature visualization at up to 12,000 cd/m2.
In industries where diverse inspection tasks demand adaptable, high-performance lighting solutions, such as manufacturing, electronics, or pharmaceuticals, the system's three-in-one capabilities are highly valued.
Each LED module of the Combined Tube Light operates independently to handle varied objects or inspection tasks. Modules measure a compact 170 mm with the option of up to four modules being connected for a total length of 680 mm. Fan cooling is standard although passive or water cooling is available on request. LED colors can be specified in White, Red, Green, Blue, and IR 850 nm or 940 nm.
