Arecont Vision Releases Compact Day and Night Dome Cameras

Manufacturer of IP-based megapixel cameras, Arecont Vision has launched a new series of cameras that provide 360º or 180º panoramic views. The AV8365DN and the AV8185DN SurroundVideo cameras have a resolution of 8 MP, are cost-effective and ideal for mechanical pan-tilt-zoom units.

The SurroundVideo camera includes in-ceiling and surface-mount mounting options, in addition to a 5.5” polycarbonate dome and an IP66 environmental chassis. This eradicates the requirement for an external housing. The AV8185DN camera utilizes four 2 MP sensors, which can be switched between night and day. The AV8365DN camera utilizes four 2 MP sensors to deliver images at 6400x1200 pixels at 22 frames-per-second.

The AV8365DN and the AV8185DN cameras feature a two-axis gimbal and provide X-Y modification. They are also provided with an integrated blower and heater. The AV8365DN camera offers simplified installation with 10º mechanical adjustment for individual sensor and allows the removal of the video at the horizon or at the dome bottom. The camera’s mounting options comprise 1.5” NPT threaded pipe pendant mount (SV-CMT) or wall mount (SV-WMT).
