Measurement averaging is an effective technique to reduce the effects of random noise sources such as air turbulence, however, establishing the best number of averages can be complicated, where too many wastes time and too few reduces the effectiveness.

SmartAveraging™ technology is an exclusive feature of ZYGO's Mx™ software. This feature automatically calculates and uses the optimum number of averages. SmartAveraging technology minimizes operator variability, eliminates guesswork, and ensures confidence in the measurement result.

QPSI™ Vibration-Tolerant Interferometry

Stabilized, Long-life, High-Power Laser

The proprietary laser source of ZYGO is designed and manufactured in Middlefield, CT. The laser exceeds the power and lifetime of the commercially available HeNe lasers that are typically used in laser interferometer products. This laser source has a lifetime rating that exceeds 60,000 hours. It also minimizes the downtime and maximizes the user’s ROI.
