Celebrating 35 Years of Chroma With a Look Into Our Past

In 2026, Chroma Technology celebrates 35 years of designing and manufacturing the finest optical filters for scientific and industrial applications.

To mark this occasion, we will look back to the earliest days of Chroma, from our founding as an employee-owned company in 1991 to the expansion to our new headquarters in Bellows Falls, VT, in the early 2000s. 

Celebrating 35 years of Chroma highlights more than just our successes as a company; it demonstrates that businesses can prosper while giving back to their communities. As an employee-owned company and a Certified B Corporation, we take pride in supporting our local and scientific communities, as well as our employee-owners, while upholding the rigorous quality standards our customers rely on.
