Equipment
The portable refractometer enables quick and easy measurement of concentration in a variety of liquid and semi-solid samples.
In the life science sector, refractometers play an important role for veterinary and human application. Whether to track the hydration levels of athletes or to manage the sugar content of sports drinks before consumption, the duo scale OPTi-Sport provides a suitable option.
The RFM300+ series refractometers are specifically designed for deployment in complex factory environments and can also be used as a quality control tool. Since its launch in 1992, more than 5,000 models have been deployed around the world.
The Pro-Juice refractometer has been specifically developed to focus on the practical handling of the sample prior to high accuracy measurement in order to achieve a measurement accuracy of 0.01 °Brix for sucrose solutions.
Owing to changing legislation and more rigorous requirements of quality control, highly accurate refractometers are needed for present scientific applications.
Bellingham + Stanley offer the OPTi Digital Range of refractometers that are suitable for chemical and industrial applications.
The new automatic refractometer DR6000 series with integrated Peltier thermostat for excellent temperature control enables short measuring times at maximum accuracy. The self-explanatory touch screen and user-friendly USB and RS232 interfaces meet every expectation. The DR6000 series comprises four standard models variable according to range, resolution and accuracy.
The AR2008 Digital Abbe Refractometer features electronic data evaluation. The refractive index or Brix value can be read from an LCD display, together with the temperature. Automatic temperature compensation can be optionally activated. The AR2008 has a thermostat connector for prisms. Measurement values with the date and time of measurement can be transferred directly to a PC or printer via a serial interface. A 589nm integrated light source for the prism is present. The AR2008 is highly robust. Delivery includes a glass calibration plate, contact fluid and a screwdriver.
The OPTi digital hand held refractometers available from Bellingham + Stanley are quality and reliable instruments that are designed to withstand the harshest environments across broad applications.
