Raman Microscopes

Raman spectroscopy is a spectroscopic technique used in condensed matter physics and chemistry to study vibrational, rotational, and other low-frequency modes in a system. It relies on inelastic scattering, or Raman scattering of monochromatic light, usually from a laser in the visible, near infrared, or near ultraviolet range. The laser light interacts with phonons or other excitations in the system, resulting in the energy of the laser photons being shifted up or down. The shift in energy gives information about the phonon modes in the system.

Equipment
The PeakSeeker Pro from Ocean Optics is a precise, cost-effective and easy-to-use Raman spectrometer.
The QE65-Pro-Raman Scientific-grade Spectrometer from Ocean Optics is a preconfigured combination of optical bench, detector and electronics that provides users with an exceptionally sensitive system for demanding low-light level Raman spectroscopy.
The Renishaw structural and chemical analyser (SCA) unites two well-established technologies, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Raman spectroscopy, resulting in a powerful and unique technique which allows morphological, elemental, chemical, physical, and electronic analysis without moving the sample between instruments.
inVia Raman microscopes from Renishaw are high-sensitivity systems with integrated research grade microscopes, enabling high resolution confocal measurements. inVia Raman microscopes support multiple lasers, with automatic software switching of excitation wavelength.
Renishaw have developed optimised direct coupling technology making the inVia Raman microscope the perfect partner for coupling to a wide variety of SPM's, such as the NT-MDT NTEGRA offering Tip Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (TERS), near-field techniques (SNOM, NSOM) and Raman-AFM capabilities.
The Renishaw RA100 is a compact Raman system for process monitoring and bulk material analysis. It enables in situ Raman monitoring in the laboratory, pilot plant, or process line.
This full-featured Raman spectroscopy system comes in an affordable handheld format. This unit is controlled by a pocket-sized computer and features easy-to-use software for fast point-and-click operation. An optional software add-on provides one-touch identification of unknown substances by immediate comparison of a measured spectrum to the onboard Raman spectral library. Analyze solid, powder or liquid samples while still contained in bags or bottles.
