Variable Focus Macro Lens

Specialists in machine vision and inspection - Moritex has announced the introduction of the new and unique ML-0310VF Variable Focus Macro Lens.

Designed for use with large format megapixel CCD and CMOS cameras (up to 15.2 x 15.2 mm sensor size) the new Macro Lens delivers the required accuracy to inspect large area components in high resolution. Incorporating a varifocal zoom and variable iris the new Macro Lens provides users with the flexibility to adjust both zoom and focus. This flexibility coupled with the ability to achieve a variable depth of field enable the ML-0310VF Macro Lens to deliver leading edge performance for applications including PCB and wafer inspection, electronic part inspection, automotive part inspection and solar panel inspection.

Unlike traditional machine vision lenses whose design prioritises operational functions such as small size, long working distance, and depth of field the new ML-0310VF Macro Lens was developed to provide customers with an optimised lens for inspecting wide areas at high resolution at short working distances (75 -145mm).

Benefiting from more than 25 years experience and expertise in the creation, manipulation and control of light Moritex has the expertise and comprehensive product portfolio to help customers select the correct components to achieve an optimised solution for their vision application.

Based upon proprietary optical technology the ML-0310VF Macro Lens opens the door to vision and inspection applications requiring cameras with large area sensors.
