Digital Check Exhibits New Check Scanner Models at BAI Retail Delivery Annual Convention

Scanners Address Needs of the Largest Financial Institution, to the Smallest Home Office

BAI Retail Delivery Conference & Expo 2009
Booth #723

Digital Check, a provider of desktop check scanners and distributed check capture technology, is showcasing its recently launched TellerScan® TS240 series and SB family of check scanners at the BAI Retail Delivery Annual Convention and Expo (booth #723), Nov. 3-5.

The new TS240 includes high-speed, non-contact 300 DPI image scan heads that increase the accuracy of check scans, even with folds and wrinkles. The non-contact design also keeps the lens free from ink and other residue. Onboard scanner diagnostics quickly determines the cause of the most common user issues and enables help-desk personnel to locate and handle the issue in seconds.

“With the TS240, we built upon the highly successful TellerScan brand to enhance the overall customer experience for leading financial institutions and service providers, without raising their costs,” said John Gainer, executive vice president of Digital Check.

The SB Series check scanners enable professionals in the one-to-10-check per day small office/home office (SOHO) market to utilize consumer capture by making check processing secure, affordable and instant. With weights ranging from 11 ounces and 18 ounces, the scanners are ideal for desktop use, as well as mobility. Powered by USB connection, the scanners are functional wherever there is a computer, and are sized to fit in a briefcase or vehicle console. Mobile professionals such as real estate agents, contractors and field service personnel are able to accept checks as a form of payment and have instant access to the funds instead of waiting for a trip to their financial institution.

“Starting at less than $200, the SB Series enables our bank and credit union customers to reach out to the highly sought after mobile, small business and SOHO markets, increasing loyalty and deposits, as well as cross-selling opportunities,” said Gainer.
