LaserCare Technologies Obtains OPS Partner Status from Hewlett-Packard

LaserCare Technologies, a Los Angeles, CA based print-copy-fax document solutions company recently achieved Office Printing Solutions (OPS) partner status, Hewlett-Packard's highest level of partnership. LaserCare delivers the complete line of HP printers, multifunction systems and workflow solutions, as well as on-site support services and consumables including toner cartridges.

"We are excited about the unique benefits this elite HP partnership will bring to our clients," say Paul Wilhelm, President.

Achieving OPS certification requires service and sales professionals to complete a rigorous track of courses on HP's portfolio of hardware and software solutions. In all, the company had to complete almost 200 hours of training.

"We set very high standards so only the very best partners achieve the Office Printing Solutions partner status," adds Christianna Wolf, Partner Business Manager for HP. Currently, there are less than 60 OPS partners in the US and LaserCare is the only certified Edgeline dealer headquartered in Los Angeles.

As an OPS partner the company now has access to HP's complete portfolio of printing and imaging solutions including multifunction printers, Edgeline technology, fax and document management solutions.

HP multifunction printers (MFP’s) combine printing, copying, faxing and scanning functions into one cost effective device. Many companies that use MFP’s depend on the scanning features to scan documents directly to email addresses or to network folder locations.

LaserCare will also deliver and service HP's new color Edgeline multifunction systems. These revolutionary devices leverage new technology to produce color prints and copies up to 71 pages per minute at a very low total cost per page. With color usage growing at 19% per year according to IDC, Edgeline systems help companies to control their color printing and copying costs.

In addition to HP hardware, LaserCare’s suite of solutions helps companies integrate paper into their digital workflows. For example, the company can implement a service that routes inbound faxes to email addresses. Other solutions include electronic forms to replace pre-printed forms and document management systems to create electronic filing systems. These solutions help companies manage growing volumes of paper and sometimes reduce their paper usage, helping organizations reduce their carbon footprints.

One of the company's most popular services is its PrintSmart™ Managed Print Services program. Network monitoring technology provides real-time reporting on the status of clients' printer fleets, allowing LaserCare to provide pro-active service response and supply restocking. The information from the monitoring systems is also used to optimize printer fleets for a balanced deployment and reduce operating expenses.
