OSRAM Expands its Range of Powerball HCI Halogen Metal Halide Lamps

With its Powerball HCI 100W lamps Munich lighting manufacturer OSRAM now provides 100W systems for halogen metal halide lamps with ceramic burners for the first time. It means the company is meeting the demands of OEMs and lighting designers for a Powerball lamp solution between 75W and 150W. Now 100W luminaires can be equipped with tried and trusted Powerball technology for various applications.

OSRAM Powerball HCI lamps are now available as 100W systems

PowerballHCI-T, HCI-T/P und HCI-E/P lamps are now available as 100W systems. They come in a warm tone finish with light colour 830 WDL and as neutral white lamps with light colour 942 NDL. With up to 9500 lumen luminous flux the new 100W models are particularly powerful. The expanded range also includes matching electronic control gears.

OSRAM Powerball HCI-T lamps are equipped with a G12 base and are especially suitable for illuminating showrooms, display windows, foyers, museums and for exterior lighting. The OSRAM Powerball HCI-T/P with a protective glass tube for open and closed luminaires have an E27 base and are ideal as wall-washers inside and outside, downlights in department stores and at exhibitions, exterior floodlighting and industrial lighting. Common applications for OSRAM Powerball HCI-E/P 100W systems with protective glass tube and E27 base are ceiling-installed downlights in shops or display areas. In addition, they are suitable for decorative, open and closed luminaires inside and outside.

Halogen metal halide lamps with OSRAM’s patented Powerballtechnology are effective thanks to their superior light output, excellent colour rendering, long life and reliability. This is enabled by the spherical Powerball ceramic burner which sets the standard compared with cylindrically shaped burners in terms of light distribution, colour stability and luminous flux loss.
