QPC Lasers Showcaes High Power Eye-safe and Visible Lasers

QPC Lasers, Inc., a world leader in the design and manufacture of high brightness, high power semiconductor lasers for the consumer, industrial, defense, and medical markets, today announced that it will showcase its next generation products and technologies at the SPIE Defense & Security conference on March 18-20 in Orlando, FL, in booth 1316. Participation at this event further establishes QPC’s already strong presence in the defense and security market, which includes active contracts with the US Army, DARPA, Navy and Missile Defense Agency.

The QPC exhibit will feature several Ultra™ laser configurations including a 120 Watt eye-safe wavelength model and a 425 Watt near infrared model suitable for many defense applications. Additionally, the company will exhibit its industry leading BrightLase® high power single mode eye-safe wavelength lasers and demonstrate its visible laser technology which can be customized for next generation laser heads-up displays, dazzlers, or flight simulators.

On Monday March 17th, the company has been invited to present a technical paper entitled “High brightness semiconductor lasers from 780-1800nm” at 3:40 pm.

QPC’s active Department of Defense Sponsored Programs include:

  • US Navy - Low cost engines for directed energy weapons
  • DARPA ADHEL – High power single mode lasers for direct diode high energy laser weapons
  • Army – Eye-safe wavelength lasers with internal gratings for engines for directed energy weapons
  • Missile Defense Agency – Infrared countermeasures, biochemical agent detection and battlefield communications

The SPIE Defense & Security conference is one of North America’s largest annual defense conferences and features the latest innovations in imaging, sensors, displays, sensor data analysis, simulation and more. It is attended by participants from the US Navy, Army and Air Force, Lockheed Martin, NASA, Raytheon, and many other top organizations.
