Viper Networks Announces Collier County Municipality of Florida Places LED Order

Viper Networks, Inc., is pleased to announce that Apollo Metro Solutions, Inc. (in partnership with Viper Networks, Inc.), has received another order from the municipality for Collier County Florida for the company's Intelligent LED Streetlights.

The order follows the successful completion of both a preliminary trial to provide the county with greater expertise in upgrading from high-pressure sodium to more efficient LED technology; and an expanded pilot program to measure the performance of Apollo Metro Solutions light emitting diode (LED) Street Light Luminaire with integrated Ultra-Low Power Wireless Controller.

After monitoring the maintenance and energy cost savings over the past year, Collier County is now committed to replacing the county's outdated inefficient high-pressure sodium lamps with Apollo Metro's Intelligent LED Streetlights. This progressive order with future expansion expectations for streetlight replacement throughout all of Collier County in Southeast Florida, may evolve into significant revenues for the Company over the long-term.

The Company's LED technology consumes 65 to 70 percent less energy and lasts three-to-four times longer than traditional lamps. Additional savings will be seen by adding Apollo Metro's remote monitoring and control of LED Luminaires. The integrated controller fits inside the Apollo fixture and provides a visual indication of all Apollo Metro street lights.

Energy usage and lighting data are then continually reported to a central management system that is accessed by users through a secure intranet web-like experience. Supplied with detailed analytics of its street lighting system, Collier County will in turn implement smarter energy saving strategies through more precise "on/off" and dimming schedules, particularly during late night operation and in low traffic areas.

As Apollo Metro and Viper Networks continue to focus on expanding their LED lighting installation base worldwide, the management of both companies applauds progressive municipalities, such as Collier County, that continue to explore and implement new energy saving and environmentally friendly technologies.
