Scalable Display Introduces Custom Plug-in for NEC Projectors

Scalable Display Technologies, a leading provider of software for automatic edge-blending announces the immediate availability of a custom NEC plug-in for the industry leading ScalableDesktop application. The new Plug-in for NEC projectors brings high resolution automatic edge blending to PA, PH and PX series NEC projectors.

The primary benefits of the plug-in for NEC projectors include:

  • Improved image quality for demanding application such as data projection.
  • 100% software application independence, Windows AERO is not required.
  • Lower cost. No additional hardware warp and blend.
  • Compatible with lower cost graphic cards such as AMD W-600.

The new plug-in, available from Scalable via the Scalable and NEC dealer network, enables automatic, camera-based calibration for high-resolution, multi-screen tiling.

"Scalable has been our partner for many years and we are pleased that they have made this new capability available for our customers," said Keith Yanke, Sr. Director of Product Marketing. "When the NEC dealers experience how easily they can deliver this new combined solution, they will be thrilled. Targeted applications include digital signage, lobby displays, collaboration rooms and museum displays."

"NEC was a pioneer in 2009 when they lead the industry with camera based stacking for increase brightness. In 2011, they added low-resolution tiling. Now we are pleased to offer this custom plug-in for high resolution tiling," said Andrew W. Jamison, CEO Scalable Display Technologies. "As the industry matures, NEC's foresight in the area of warp and blend is becoming evident. We are pleased to have been partners with NEC from the start."
