6Sight Future of Imaging Conference to be Hosted at CE Week NYC

The 2012 6Sight Future of Imaging Conference will highlight the revolutionary ways to meet the challenges as well as exploit the opportunities in the rapidly evolving imaging ecosystem, through a range of presentations and discussions.

6Sight is a five-day event hosted as a part of 2012 CE Week for visitors from across the city. The event includes CEA Line Shows and the Digital Downtown Conference that were organized together with the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA). Other partners for this event are Photo Industry Reporter, Martin Porter Associates, and Consumer Technology Publishing Group/NAPCO, publisher of Dealerscope, E-Gear magazines, and Custom Retailer.

Keynote presentation will be delivered by CEA President Gary Shapiro on innovation and consumer electronics trends as well as on the evolution of photography from film to digital to mirror-less SLRs and smart phones representing American innovation and national economy.

The 6Sight conference research program includes InfoBreakfast and Analyst Roundtable. Presentations will be delivered by MobileTrax founder J. Gerry Purdy, Ph.D. on Mobile Imaging Market Trends; Social Imaging Survey will be presented by Hans Hartman; Tony Henning will talk about Camera Phone Global Trends; 6Sight senior analysts Paul Worthington and Tony Henning will discuss about Top Imaging Trends; and the CEA market researchers will talk about Digital Imaging Market Trends.

Imaging innovators include Aydin Arpa of MIT Media Lab, Juha Alakarhu of Nokia, Sami Niemi of Scalado, Laurent Martin of ScanCafe, Craig Saunders of Xerox, and Herwig Henseler of Ecce Terram.

The major topics for discussions and presentation include the Advances in Camera Capture; the Mobile Ecosystem Imaging Management; Sensor and Optics Inside the Mobile Phone and Camera; aspects of Social Imaging; the latest developments in Image Processing; the rise in importance of Mobile Imaging Apps; the Evolution of Photo Services with Gary Pageau; Intelligent Imaging and Augmented Reality; and the evolution of Connected Cameras.

This 6Sight Future of Imaging Conference is supported by CEA and PMA and co-hosted by Invest in Skåne and mobile imaging developer Scalado.
