Trig Innovation, a management firm located in NC, has accomplished a unique 3D animation video project for Mustard Tree Instruments, an analytical instrumentation company that serves pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturing industries.
Trig Innovation, renowned as a research triangle, constructed an animated representation of the company’s remarkable VTT-1000 at-line material verification testing tool. This unique development was based on the utilization of internal resources of Bunkspeed MOVE 12 animation suite integrated with SolidWorks 3D CAD modeling software. Mustard Tree Instruments is using this animation at the nationwide educational outreach campaign.
Trig Innovation design team’s Industrial Designer Patrick Murphy directed the animation project, which is a paradigm of the VTT-1000. Raman spectroscopy, a non-contact optical laser technology known for quick validation of raw materials and finished products, proved useful during this technology development.
With the intent to cater to the animation requirements of the client, Murphy developed an exquisite animated movie by utilizing Bunkspeed and SolidWorks, the result being a reflection of the combined designs of both the software environments. A fragment of animation was generated based on the VTT-1000’s internal mechanism to make it convenient for viewers to interpret the technology. In addition, it also represents the product’s ability to facilitate manufacturers to meet the challenges related to business and specific quality including decrease in cost of sample analysis, less manufacturing lead time, methods to improve yield, and elimination of costly recalls that result in drug shortages.
The FDA stated that there was threefold increase in the volume of drug shortage between the period from 2005 to 2010, mostly owing to manufacturing quality problems.
