Pioneer in optical touch screen solutions, Neonode, proclaimed that it has inked a multi-year technology license deal with an international consumer electronics firm.
As per the deal, the consumer electronics firm will integrate the touch screen solution of Neonode into its portfolio of products. zForce is the proprietary touch technology of Neonode and endorses superior resolution pen writing as well as finger navigation such as sweeps, multi-touch, gestures and more. Product using zForce touch screen technology will be introduced during 2011 summer.
The Chief Executive Officer at Neonode, Thomas Eriksson stated that the company is happy to secure the latest deal with the OEM client, who is yet another firm joining Neonode’s list of international consumer electronics vendors such as ASUSTeK, Sony and others that are using the zForce Touch Solution. Eriksson further said that the new deal is a consequence of the company’s ability to deliver lower bill of material and improved expertise and performance to its customers.
