GAO Instruments Unveils A0300027 Optical Power Meter with LCD Screen

GAO Instruments has introduced a new optical power meter for use in a wide range of environments. The A0300027 optical power meter includes a long wavelength camera probe and a single-chip microprocessor.

Optical Power Meter

The power meter is ideal for use in the maintenance and construction of fiber optic CATV and fiber optics communication systems. In addition, it is useful in testing continuous optical signals. The optical power meter conducts power measurements in -50 to 26 dBm and -70 to10 dBm test ranges at ± 5 % accuracy.

The A0300027 power meter has real-time data monitoring, auto-off capability, low voltage warning and self-calibration function. It provides working wavelengths of 1625, 1550, 1490, 1300, 980 and 850 nm and functions across a wavelength range of 850-1700 nm. In addition, the device switches and resets the frequency range automatically and detects frequencies of 2 kHz, 1 kHz and 270 Hz.

The optical power meter displays the relative value and attenuation in dBm, dB, mW, Uw and nW on the high resolution LCD screen. It includes LC, SC, ST or FC connectors for power and selection and has a memory capacity of 1000 groups of data. Furthermore, the meter utilizes the RS232 interface for data exchange.
