Khatod Releases Anti-Glare Reflector for Lambertian LEDs

Khatod announced that it has introduced a new anti-glare reflector that is ideal for Lambertian LEDs with maximum flux of 300 lm and dome size of 8 mm. The DARK LENS anti-glare reflector accumulates the light produced by the LEDs, reflects it in a 30° beam and ensures a uniform distribution.

Solutions that have been used previously to minimize the glare were based on chemical anti-glare coatings or mechanical devices. Although, the glare could be reduced significantly, the flux uniformity and lighting efficacy also got reduced. Khatod’s scientific rigour and sophisticated research have enabled the company to produce an optical solution that eradicates glare issue without decreasing the lighting efficacy.

The DARK LENS enables a uniform light distribution and decreases the flux brilliancy. The anti-glare reflector, with a reflecting portion at the bottom, completely eradicates the glare effect and creates a homogeneous flux that is dispersed on the facets-shaped inner surface. This enables in creating a complete anti-glare effect, better lighting efficacy, and high-quality luminous flux. The reflector delivers enhanced performance with warm white LEDs and completely eradicates yellow ring effect. It functions with 1,2,3,4 and multichip LEDs. The DARK LENS is UV protected and complies with UL94 specifications.

The DARK LENS is ideal for applications in down lights and up lights and for applications requiring compact lighting. It is also suitable for applications that need LEDs in recessed or narrow spaces.
