Infinera Announces Collaboration with Allied Fiber’s Dark Fiber Community

Digital Optical Network provider, Infinera has partnered with the Dark Fiber Community (DFC) of Allied Fiber. The DFC online vendor directory imitates the optical fiber eco-system with members including service vendors, infrastructure providers, equipment and fiber technology manufacturers.

Allied Fiber is a dark fiber provider and comprises team of experts from finance, network construction and communications.

The optical products from Infinera act as the main part of the metro and long-haul networks across the globe. The Infinera DTN optical system incorporates large photonic circuits and is used in metro and long-haul core networks. It integrates GMPLS-powered service intelligence, digital bandwidth management and increased DWDM transport in one platform.

The Infinera ATN metro edge solution expands the advantages of the Digital Optical Networks to new metro edge networks. It provides enhanced power consumption and density, and supports metro transport services such as video, OTN, SONET/SDH, SAN and Ethernet services.
