Toshiba Unveils IP Camera with 2 MP CMOS Imaging Sensor

Toshiba has introduced a new IP network camera with a 2MP CMOS imaging sensor for video surveillance applications. The IK-WB80A camera endures damage, rain, sleet, snow, as well as extreme cold and heat.

IP Surveillance Camera

The IK-WB80A has a Vari-focal lens with a 4x digital/3x optical zoom and a resolution of 1600 x 1200. The IP camera shoots large outdoor spaces, enabling a single image instead of multiple video streams. In addition, the camera offers high video security from vandals or thieves.

The Toshiba IP camera has a day/night IR cut filter and IR illuminators for enhanced nighttime viewing at a maximum of 75 ft in full darkness. Outdoor installations are minimized by using Power over Ethernet (PoE) connectivity to power the camera. The IK-WB80A offers Dual MPEG4/MJPEG video streaming function for simultaneous recording and viewing, as well as a two-way audio feature for on-site communications. In addition, the camera has additional features, namely, privacy masking; motion and tamper detection with email alerts; and an integrated slot for SDHC and SD memory cards.
