PhaseView Introduces WaveGauge Digital Wavefront Optics Tester

PhaseView has unveiled a new digital wavefront optics tester that features a CCD sensor. The WaveGauge is suitable for a number of applications such as optics and objectives; lens molds and contact lens, multifocal and simple intraocular lenses, aspherics characterization, and wavefront aberrations measurement.

WaveGauge

The WaveGauge uses a digital wavefront sensing technology to fulfill the needs for production environments, research and development, and quality assurance. The system offers more wavefront data on a grid with a superresolution of 500×500 to conduct real-time lens testing. In addition, the tester offers a speed of 1 lens/s and can be adapted easily in reflection or transmission mode.

The combination of digital wavefront cameras and high-resolution wavefront mapping enables the WaveGauge to perform simultaneous aberration analysis and surface quality visualization of complicated lenses with toric, aspheric, or spherical shapes. The WaveGauge has 15 Hz frame rate, 12 pixel bit depth, 6.45×6.45 µm pixel dimensions, 1392×1040 pixels resolution, and wavelength range of  350-1100 nm.
