Lasertec has released a new IPL light guide with a flatness level of over ë/10 and a surface quality of 20/10. The surface of the light guide is polished using a sophisticated polishing technique.
The light guide is made of sapphire, fused silica and BK7, among others. It has high-precision and general surface quality of 20/10 and 60/40, respectively as well as general and high-precision dimension tolerance of ±0.1 mm and +0.0/-0.01, respectively. The light guide has general and high-precision aperture above 90% and 97%, respectively.
The IPL light guide exhibits a flatness of ë/2 with 25 mm at a wavelength of 633 nm. In addition, the product features less than 1arc min of general parallelism and less than 10 arc sec of high-precision.
