GAO Fiber Optics Launches 5202 Optical Light Source

Supplier of fiber-optic measurement and test devices, GAO Fiber Optics has unveiled a new handheld optical light source for fiber-optic networks.

5202 Optical Light Source

The 5202 optical light source is suitable for maintaining CATV and telecommunication systems.

The optical light source is compact in size, and delivers very stable output power. It offers 1 - 4 output wavelengths to fulfill the specific needs such as 850/1300 nm wavelength for multimode fibers, 1310/1550 nm wavelength for single mode fiber, and 650 nm red source.

The 5202 light source has a backlight LCD display to show test results clearly. The light source, when combined with the 5303 optical power meter of GAO, acts as an ideal solution for fiber-optic network characterization. The 10-minute auto-off functionality of the light source enables conservation of battery life.
