New Anti-Reflection Coatings for Optical Fibers

Manufacturer of components for the opto-electronics and laser industries, Laser Components has launched anti-reflection coatings for optical fibers. The coatings are useful during high power transmission over optical fibers with a laser.

AR coatings for optical fibers

The anti-reflection coatings minimize coupling losses considerably. The high power transmission has a positive effect in material processing and medical technology. Single AR and broadband AR coatings are available for 808 nm wavelength and for the  wavelength range of 460 - 700 nm, respectively. Dual AR coatings are available for the wavelengths 808 and 980 nm.

Laser Components offers job coatings on optical fibers, and assembled cables such as coated fibers. The company is capable of processing various types of fibers including silica fibers and sapphire fibers.
