New 764H-061 Laser Diode Mount from Newport

Manufacturer of photonic and laser solutions, Newport, unveiled its new 764H-061 laser diode mount that can operate at an ambient temperature of 25° C, and can handle a thermal load of up to 61 W with the air cooling system.

Internal Cooling System-Integrated Laser Diode Mount

The internal TECs (thermoelectric coolers) allow better power output stabilization and offer superior wavelength tuning. With the addition of the 764H-061 high-power laser diode mount, Newport has extended the new 764H product series that presently includes a 110 W laser diode mount. The laser diode mount series can support both fiber-coupled and free-space diode laser bars.

Newport’s 3700 temperature controller optimizes the 764H-061 laser mount to provide quick settling time and the appropriate temperature regulation. The copper mount plate is specifically designed to support a majority of Spectra Physics Division’s laser diode series. The diodes are fitted to a top copper plate that is configured with several hole patterns for trouble-free mounting and integration. The top plate consists of a built-in thermistor sensor to control the feedback loop temperature.

The pigtailed cable, fitted to the laser diode mount, provides electrical connections to the temperature controller. The cable is compatible with the 3700 and 3150 temperature controller models. The laser diode mount includes a fan power supply and a hardware kit for tabletop experiments.
