Supplier of stand-alone metrology products, Nova Measuring Instruments, announced multiple installations of advanced Nova T500 optical CD metrology instruments. The company has planned to provide the Nova T500 tool to seven major customers at the end of 3Q of 2010. Among the seven different customers, five of them are new clients.

The T500 is a stand-alone optical CD platform with high accuracy and high throughput.
The metrology tool reduces ownership cost, enhances metrology precision and increases the metrology sampling process.
Nova’s Corporate Marketing Director, Noam Shintel, stated that after the launch of the Nova T500, they mainly focused on advanced memory foundries and production, but the company is happy that the Nova T500 has received a vote of confidence from 7 major customers. The company anticipates that multiple installations will allow a sustained growth in the stand-alone market share as clients continue to use sophisticated metrology in semiconductor production, Shintel said.
