Miniature Camera Core – FLIR Tau SWIR

The Tau SWIR miniature camera, part of FLIR's Tau range of advanced miniature cameras, is designed for a wide range of OEM applications, such as night vision, electro optical payloads, UAV/UGV sensor sockets and weapon sights.

The Tau SWIR 15XRH offers excellent shortwave infrared imaging performance from 500 to 1700nm spectrum (50% RSR from 800 to 1700nm). It integrates a high-resolution (640 × 512) indium gallium arsenide (InGaAs) 25 -micron pixel pitch focal plane array that features high frame rates (in subwindowing mode), variable exposure control, high quantum efficiency and almost zero image lag. Power consumption is less than 2W (at 20°C case temperature).

The camera provides excellent image quality in all light levels and includes non-uniformity correction and advance automatic gain control. It weighs only 130g (with the M24 lens mount) and measures 1.5" x 1.5" x 1.9", making it suitable for small UAV/UGV and battery powered viewers.
