Flexispec® Fluorescent Fiber Optic Probe

art photonics GmbH provides a wide range of specially engineered fluorescent probes, based on Bifurcated or Multi Channel Furcated Fiber Optic Bundles. These fiber bundles have an “Illuminating” Leg to convey light from a source to a sample, and a “Reading” Leg to convey reflected light to a spectrometer.

While traditional probes have “6-around-1” – fiber bundle arrangement, probes from art photonics have a “7 around 1” and “9 around 1” design. The reason for this is that the reflected and back-scattered signals are relatively higher than that from the traditional ones.

For unique applications, the company offers < 7 + 12 > design: 7 randomized illuminating fibers with 12 randomized reading fibers.

All illuminating fibers of art photonics’ Fluorescent Probes come with metal-coating clad. This helps to prevent cross-talk between the illuminating fibers, and therefore, signal/noise ratio is higher than that in parallel probes with fiber polymer coatings.

art photonics’ Fluorescent Fiber Probes come with four, three, or two fiber legs, and Round-to-Round (R/R) or Round-to-Line (R/L) design.
