Gold Coated Fiber

Silica Core / Silica Clad / Gold Coated Fiber

The Gold Coated Fibers provided by Fiberguide Industries have been specifically designed to safely operate in the most extensive temperature range of -269 °C to 700 °C, compared to any other optical fiber currently available on the market today. In addition to this unique property, this fiber also exhibits excellent corrosion resistance and an ability to be soldered or brazed. These physical properties allow the gold coated fibers to be ideal for turbine flame monitoring, oil and gas down-hole sensing and high-vacuum or pressure applications.

Aluminum Coated Fiber

Silica Core / Silica Clad / Aluminum Coated Fiber

The Aluminum Coated Fibers provided by Fiberguide Industries have been specifically designed to withstand a wide temperature range of -269 °C to 400 °C, all the while maintaining a superior strength that exceeds 1000 kpsi. As a result of these properties, the aluminum coated fibers can be used for extended stress levels in a wide variety of applications that require tight bends without easily breaking. Furthermore, the strong chemical bond that exists between the silica cladding and aluminum allows for a direct termination to be achieved without requiring additional pistoning. Furthermore, this bond allows the aluminum coating to complement the deep UV performance rates of Fiberguide’s Solarguide product family.
