Digital Disc Manufacturing Inc.
Digital Disc Manufacturing, Incorporated was established when it became clear that the two worlds using optical discs, music and gaming, were set to explode. We quickly established ourselves as a one stop, full service facility for Compact Disc production. Digital Disc has continued to grow with the industry, expanding our expertise to the latest technology — DVD.
DVD — Digital Versatile Disc or Digital Video Disc — is the most exciting digital media format to enter the market since the introduction of the audio Compact Disc almost 20 years ago. DVD promises to change how we view video, the same way that the Audio CD changed the way we listen to music. DVD is to VHS and CD-ROM what CDs were to vinyl LPs. DVD fully realizes the potential of multimedia by combining digital audio with motion-picture quality digital video, data and text.
As a new, multi-layered optical format, DVD discs can have up to four layers of information, capable of storing 18 gigabytes of digital data. Perfectly suited for full-motion, MPEG-2 encoded video, most DVD discs can easily contain 95 percent of all of today's major motion pictures on just one side of a disc.
