FLIR has released a new infrared multispectral imager that can generate IR images at video rates within the LWIR, MWIR or SWIR regions.
The Orion SC7000 imager utilizes a sophisticated focal plane array detector technology and a range of electronic modules to offer enhanced performance.
The device collects the infrared radiation through the front lens, which provides less aberration across the IR wavelength range. Then, a rotating filter wheel is placed between the focal plane and the lens to enable swift imaging of sub-spectral bands. The detector technology has the potential to capture 400 fps.
The Orion SC7000 imager can be utilized as an IR camera by stopping or removing the filter wheel. The camera’s compact size allows it to be implemented in space-constrained areas.
The FLIR Orion SC7000 camera comes with various kinds of detectors and addresses any application in multispectral and single analysis. The camera’s external triggering feature enables synchronization of the image capture to brief events. The device can be connected to a PC by using the plug-and-play option and the GigE or Camlink interfaces.
