Labsphere announced that it has introduced Thermal/Optical/Electrical LED Measurement Systems (TOCS) to meet the requirements for new reporting specifications.
The TOCS allows measuring the optical properties as a function of operating current and temperature by utilizing one device. The device complies with IESNA LM-80 and LM-79 standards and delivers reproducible and precise LED measurements.
The TOCS comes in various sphere sizes ranging between 20” and 76”. It is ideal for both 4pi and 2pi geometries. The basic setup of the system consists of a TOCS-SS software, power supply, calibration source, auxiliary lamp, thermal plate with temperature controller, CCD array spectrometer, and a lamp measurement integrating sphere. The TOCS can be user-customized to meet various testing requirements.
The TOCS-SS software automates procedures for controlling the temperature and current and for measuring the spectral characteristics. Users can control the operating current and LED temperature at the specified ranges by characterizing and measuring the instrument under test over a diverse temperature range. The collected thermal, optical, and electrical data is mapped for on-screen viewing. The data can be exported to an Excel format for further analysis.
